Singularity – Book 2 of The Summer of Reasoning.

The Second book in The Summer of Reasoning series is set in 2026 and dives straight in where the last book The Phoney War left off.

The Dietrich Research Centre has now emerged on the world stage from an unkown startup company to the leading player in AI and scientific Research, catching everybody off guard and making quite a few organisations and governments quite unhappy. As it stands, they are still very vulnerable to state and other bad actors, but they are also an enigma, and the clock is ticking before somebody acts and they become a a major target.

Their only current advantage is their technology leverage and the companies popularity with the public. But as their technological lead increases almost exponentially the prize is getting bigger and the window for their rivals to act is getting smaller. Can the guys navigate this minefield to the end?

In amongst all of this chaos a new unforeseen danger emerges, one far more powerful than anything they have seen so far and one which may not just threaten the company, but the whole of humanity.

The second book in the series is a little darker than the first book as the inevitability of politics, greed and corruption enters their utopian bubble and threatens to destroy everything they are trying to build. Help however comes from surprising corners as the line between friends and enemies gets re-drawn.

Note This book requires you to have read book 1 The Phoney War.

The book is currently only available in paperback (ISBN 978-1-0670718-1-3) however if you prefer to read it on your phone, tablet or eReader, the whole trilogy containing all three books in the series are available in one single $0.99 epub called The Summer of Reasoning (ISBN: 978-0-473-69593-4) available from your favourite on-line book shop.
